JFA and Hong Kong FC Academy recognised by the AFC Elite Youth Scheme

Kuala Lumpur: The Jordan Football Association (JFA) is the latest Member Association (MA) to receive full membership under the AFC Elite Youth Scheme while the Hong Kong FC Academy has been granted a one-star Academy status. 

As part of JFA’s recommendation, the Al Hussein Sports City for Youth – Polo Stadium have also been recognised as a two-star Academy by the AFC Elite Youth Scheme.

Japan defeat Korea Republic to emerge men's champions

Tokyo: Japan turned on the power in the second half to defeat Korea Republic 3-0 to emerge champions of the 2022 EAFF E-1 Men’s Football Championship on Wednesday. 

Victory meant Japan won the title for a second time while Korea Republic failed to add a sixth to their haul.

JDT in a statement said they had granted Mora's request to leave, and thanked him for his services.

Josue aiming to create more history with Kuala Lumpur City

Kuala Lumpur: Paulo Josue is looking to write a new chapter in Kuala Lumpur City FC’s history as the Brazilian gets set to lead the Malaysian side into the 2022 AFC Cup™ ASEAN Zonal Semi-finals against Vietnam’s Viettel FC on August 10. 

After captaining the capital city side to their first Malaysia Cup since 1989 last year, the 33-year-old - who has been at the club since 2017 - was a standout performer as Kuala Lumpur made their AFC Cup debut in June and advanced to the knockout rounds as the best-placed runners-up. 

Following a goalless draw against PSM Makassar in their opening Group H game, the midfielder netted two outstanding goals in the 2-1 win over Tampines Rovers that ensured Kuala Lumpur joined PSM, fellow Malaysian side Kedah Darul Aman and opponents Viettel in the ASEAN Zonal Semi-finals.

Team Base Camp line-up reflects uniquely compact nature of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Doha: The 31 teams travelling to Qatar will have a Team Base Camp (TBC) to call home at the most compact FIFA World Cup since the inaugural instalment in 1930. 

With no domestic flights required during the tournament, the same top-class facilities will be used throughout the competition. For this edition, therefore, official training sessions the day before matches will also be held at the respective training sites.
