Youth Special Online Session benefits more than 100 participants

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) organised the latest Youth Special Online Session that was attended by more than 100 participants who joined the virtual programme focused on developing the future stars of the game in Asia. 

The latest workshop is part of an online series of technical sessions conducted this year and reinforces the AFC’s commitment to support its Member Associations (MAs) to strengthen their youth structure.

‘Heading Guidelines for Youth Players’ presented at AFC Youth Panel meeting

Kuala Lumpur: As part of efforts to protect the wellbeing of footballers, a ‘Heading Guidelines for Youth Players’ was presented at the 12th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Youth Panel meeting which concluded on Tuesday.

The guidelines analysed the impact of heading among youth players and included various techniques to decrease the negative effects when heading the ball. Other recommendations for training sessions and matches were also covered in the Guidelines.

HKFA endorsed as full member of the AFC Elite Youth Scheme

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Elite Youth Scheme continues to grow rapidly with the Hong Kong Football Association Ltd. (HKFA) becoming the latest Member Association (MA) to be approved as a full member while Kitchee Academy received an elite one-star academy status.

With the aim to qualify for the AFC and FIFA youth competitions, HKFA has established a comprehensive Strategic Plan for 2020-2025, which focuses on a wide range of areas such as organisational structure, youth programmes, talent development, competitions, academy facilities, data monitoring, education and club licensing.
