Vietnam beat Myanmar to set up semi-final showdown with Philippines

Manila: Defending champions Vietnam continued their impressive form in the AFF Women’s Championship 2022, defeating Myanmar 4-0 to finish top of Group B at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Wednesday.

The win sets up Vietnam for an exciting battle against hosts Philippines in the semi-finals, with second-placed Myanmar taking on Thailand.

Cambodia ended their campaign on a positive note after seeing off Timor Leste 3-1 to finish third ahead of Laos.

Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina joins Al Nassr

Jeddah: Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr Club have signed Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina on a two-year contract.

The 33-year-old shot-stopper has joined from Napoli following the expiry of his contract with the Italian Serie A side. 

Ospina is Al Nassr's second signing of the summer after Ivorian left-back Ghislain Konan and is expected feature in the AFC Champions League™ 2023 following the club's third-place finish in the 2021-22 Saudi Pro League season.
