Al Ain: Ibrahim Diaky scored a last-minute goal to give AFC Champions League finalists Al Ain a 2-1 win against Al Shabab at home in their UAE pro league tie on Wednesday evening.
Stuck goalless at half-time, Al Ain drew first blood less than 10 minutes into the second half with a goal by Caio, but Al Shabab replied through Rashid Hassan with 10 minutes remaining.
Ivorian-born Diaky (pictured, right) drove home Al Ain's winner four minutes into second-half stoppage time, giving no room for Al Shabab to come back.
Al Ain have started their domestic season on a strong note, amassing four wins and a draw so far, and are currently sitting third on the table.
Zlatko Dalic's side will meet Korea Republic’s Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the first leg of the AFC Champions League final on November 19 before hosting the K League Classic leaders a week later.
