Goa: Juan Ferrando said he wants FC Goa to continue their good show of form after sharing the spoils with UAE’s Al Wahda on Matchday Two of the 2021 AFC Champions League Group E on Saturday.
FC Goa secured their second draw on the trot, having registered an identical scoreline against Qatar’s Al Rayyan on Matchday One, while Al Wahda picked up their first point of their AFC Champions League campaign.

Goa: Head coach Juan Ferrando was full of praise for Dheeraj Singh whose heroics against United Arab Emirates’ Al Wahda earned FC Goa a 0-0 stalemate in Group E of the 2021 AFC Champions League on Saturday.
The 20-year-old stole the show with a string of fine saves at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium which led Ferrando into giving his goalkeeper the moniker ‘Superman’.
Dheeraj Singh has made a total of nine saves after two matches played and six of those came against Al Wahda.

Group A: Istiklol create AFC Champions League history with win over AGMK
Riyadh: FC Istiklol sealed a historic first ever AFC Champions League win, defeating AGMK 3-2 in their Group A clash at King Fahd International Stadium on Sunday.
A Jovan Đokić own goal and a Manuchehr Dzhalilov strike had the Tajik champions 2-0 up in the match billed as the Central Asian derby, before AMGK pulled a goal back through Zafar Polvonov just before the hour mark. Muhammadjon Rahimov sealed the points for Istiklol with 10 minutes remaining, but only after they survived the nervous finale that followed Polvonov's second in the 90th minute.
The win, a first for any club from Tajikistan in Asia’s premier competition, puts Istiklol second in the group, giving them the chance to go clear on top with a win against Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal SFC on Wednesday.

Jeddah: Al Ahli Saudi FC's Omar Al Soma scored in added time to cancel out Michael Olunga's opener for Al Duhail SC as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw on Matchday Two of the 2021 AFC Champions League group stage on Sunday.
The home side had lost their opening Group C match against Esteghlal by a huge scoreline while their Qatari opponents took all three points against Iraqi side Al Shorta. The two sides had to settle for a draw this time around.
