Group D: Olunga, Edmilson shine as Al Duhail beat Sepahan

Buraidah: Al Duhail brushed aside Sepahan FC 5-2 in their final Group D match in the AFC Champions League™ 2022 at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on Tuesday.

It was a story of profligacy and missed chances peppered throughout the game for Sepahan, who had more shots on goal than their opponents but a combination of good goalkeeping and a lack of concentration from the Iranian side was their undoing.

Group D: Pakhtakor fight back to deny Al Taawoun

Buraidah: Pakhtakor downed Group D hosts Al Taawoun FC 5-4 in a thrilling encounter on Matchday Six of the AFC Champions League™ 2022 at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

Pakhtakor ended their campaign fourth in Group D with six points, while Al Taawoun finished second on seven points thanks to their superior head to head record on Sepahan FC, who lost 5-2 earlier on Tuesday against Al Duhail SC. 

The defeat, however, ended Al Taawoun's Round of 16 hopes.

Riyadh: Al Shabab defeated Al Jazira 2-0 in their AFC Champions League™ 2022 match at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium on Tuesday as the side from Saudi Arabia ended their campaign with five wins and a draw to finish runaway winners of Group B.

After a goalless first half, John Mary broke Al Jazira’s resistance after the break before Paulinho doubled their tally to keep Al Shabab’s impressive unbeaten run intact.

Group C: Shabab Al Ahli Dubai advance with hard-earned draw against Foolad Khouzestan FC

Jeddah: Shabab Al Ahli Dubai snatched a ticket to the AFC Champions League™ 2022 Round of 16 after battling to a 1-1 draw against Foolad Khouzestan FC at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium on Tuesday. 

Brazilian veteran Shimba scored a 71st minute penalty while Shabab Al Ahli’s Yahya Al Ghassani took advantage of a rare defensive mistake from Foolad as both sides settled for a draw to remain unbeaten in Group C. 
 
With the other results in the groups going the way of Shabab Al Ahli, the Emirati side advance to the next stage as one of the three best runners-up teams.

Jeddah: An Arslanmurat Amanov hat-trick earned Ahal FC their first-ever AFC Champions League™ win, a 4-2 triumph over Al Gharafa to end their Group C journey at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on Tuesday.

Ahal bowed out with a famous win, but remained bottom of the group with four points while Al Gharafa’s tally froze at five points to end their campaign in third place.
