Group I: Ulsan Hyundai edge Kawasaki Frontale in thriller

Johor Bahru: Ulsan Hyundai have resurrected their hopes of a place in the AFC Champions League™ 2022 Round of 16 after the Korea Republic side powered to a hard-earned 3-2 victory over Kawasaki Frontale in a captivating Group I encounter at the Tan Sri Dato' Hj Hassan Yunos Stadium on Wednesday.

In a congested race for the sole automatic qualification spot, the K League leaders leaped over their Japanese rivals to go top of the group on 10 points and their destiny now rests firmly on their shoulders with victory against Johor Darul Ta’zim on the final match day on Saturday confirming their place in the Round of 16.

Ahal FC proud of historic victory, Al Gharafa look towards future

Jeddah: Ahal FC head coach Rovshen Muhadov said their historic victory in the AFC Champions League™ 2022 will be a springboard for the club and players to improve.

The Turkmenistan debutants secured a convincing 4-2 win over Al Gharafa with Arslanmurat Amanov starring with a hat-trick on the final matchday on Tuesday. 

It was the club’s first win of the campaign which saw them finish last in Group C on four points, one behind Al Gharafa.
