Both teams picked up three points on Matchday One and a win on Monday will be a positive step in their hopes of gaining an early advantage.
This will be the seventh meeting between the clubs with Al Hilal winning four of those games to Al Rayyan’s one victory which came in 2018.
Al Rayyan fell behind early in their Matchday One fixture against Istiklol after Shakhrom Suleymanov’s sixth minute strike, but fought back through goals from Yacine Brahimi and Yohan Boli, only for Muhammad Isaev to draw the Tajikistan side level. Al Rayyan, however, claimed the win thanks to Boli’s 71st minute effort.

Preview - Group B: Air Force Club (IRQ) v Mumbai City (IND)
Riyadh: Hakeem Shakir has warned that Air Force Club will not hold back against debutants Mumbai City of India when the sides clash in Group B of the AFC Champions League™ 2022 at the King Fahd International Stadium on Monday.
Air Force Club were victorious on Matchday One, beating UAE’s Al Jazira 2-1, while newcomers Mumbai City suffered a 3-0 defeat to Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab.
Preview - Group E: FC Nasaf (UZB) v Al Wehdat (JOR)
Dammam: After draws in both games of the opening matchday, Monday’s action will bring a fresh start for all four AFC Champions League™ 2022 Group E teams, according to Al Wehdat head coach Raed Assaf whose side take on FC Nasaf at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd.
Al Wehdat had come from behind against debutants Al Faisaly to collect their first point after Ahmed Samir’s second-half goal cancelled out Hicham Faik’s early free-kick. Meanwhile, Nasaf gave up their lead to draw 1-1 against nine-man Al Sadd in the earlier Friday game.
