Morocco's Hamdallah scored both goals as reigning Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad shrugged off their recent indifferent form to maintain a firm grip on Group C, with a draw against Islamic Republic of Iran's Sepahan FC next week enough to take them through to the Round of 16.

Tehran: Jose Morais applauded his Sepahan FC players after the Islamic Republic of Iran side worked hard for a 1-0 win over Air Force Club in the AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 on Monday.

Sepahan, having taken a fourth minute lead through Farshad Ahmadzadeh, were reduced to 10 men just before the break after Mohammad Hosseinnezhad received a straight red for a late challenge on Mustafa Saadoun.
 
Hadi Mohammadi followed suit in the 90th minute but Sepahan held on to keep their Round of 16 hopes alive, with Morais' side to play leaders Al Ittihad FC of Saudi Arabia in their final Group C tie on Monday.
