Busan: AFC Champions League 2012 quarter-finalists Ulsan Hyundai lost ground in the current K-League campaign on Wednesday when they lost 1-0 to Busan I'Park.
The only goal of the game came in the 69th minute of the Round 23 clash courtesy of midfielder Lim Sang-hyub, who was part of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors' 2010 ACL squad, scoring in the 2006 continental champions' 8-0 hammering of Persipura Jayapura.
The defeat saw Ulsan remain in third on 41 points, nine adrift of Lim's former employers who missed the chance to put more distance between themselves and the chasing pack on Wednesday after being held to a goalless draw by fellow 2012 ACL qualifiers Seongnam.
Ulsan, who are aiming to become the fourth successive ACL finalists from Korea after last year's runners-up Jeonbuk, Pohang Steelers and Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma - ACL champions in 2006, 2009 and 2010 respectively - take on Al Hilal in the last eight of this year's edition of Asia's premier club competition.
The first-leg of their AFC Champions League quarter-final will take place on September 19 with Ulsan hosting the two-time Asian Club Championship winners before the Saudis entertain the Koreans on October 3.
