Yu pleased with Shandong Taishan’s improvement, expensive lesson for Lion City Sailors

Buriram: Head coach Yu Yuanwei was more than satisfied with the improvement of his Shandong Taishan FC side after they earned their first point in Group F of the AFC Champions League™ on Thursday. 

Shandong, having picked up valuable lessons from their heavy defeats to Daegu FC and Urawa Red Diamonds, held Singapore's Lion City Sailors FC to a goalless draw at the Buriram City Stadium.

Group F: Defensive masterclass sees Shandong Taishan hold Lion City Sailors

Buriram:  Shandong Taishan FC secured their first point after a battling 0-0 draw with Lion City Sailors FC in Group F of the AFC Champions League™ 2022 on Thursday.

Having suffered heavy defeats in their opening two matches, China PR's Shandong produced a gritty defensive display to deny their Singaporean opponents a second successive win.

Group F: Daegu edge Urawa Red Diamonds to revive hopes

Buriram: Daegu FC breathed life into their AFC Champions League™ Group F campaign after beating Urawa Red Diamonds 1-0 at the Buriram Stadium on Thursday. 

Zeca’s second half strike proved enough as Daegu secured their second win to draw level with the Japanese club on six points, with three matches left to play.
