Malang: AFC Cup 2012 quarter-finalists Arema Indonesia were held to a frustrating goalless draw in the first-leg of their last-eight Indonesia Cup clash with Persibo Bojonegoro on Wednesday.
Arema, who defeated Hong Kong’s Kitchee 2-0 to progress in the continental competition, dominated the match at the Gajayana Stadium with Talaohu Musyafri, Slovakian midfielder Roman Chemelo and Ahmad Amuriddin all forcing fine saves from Persibo keeper Aditya Harlan.
The second-leg of the Indonesia Cup quarter-final fixture has been scheduled for June 13, one day before Arema learn their opponents in the last eight of the AFC Cup at Thursday’s official draw at AFC House, which will be streamed live by www.the-afc.com.
