Group J: Eastern Long Lions' AFC Cup hopes dashed despite edging Athletic 220 FC

Hong Kong: Hong Kong’s Eastern Long Lions' 2021 AFC Cup dream came to an end despite defeating Mongolia’s Athletic 220 FC 1-0 in Group J on Saturday.

Lee Ka Yiu scored in the second half as a resilient Athletic 220 FC made Eastern Long Lions work hard for the three points but it was to prove not enough for the Hong Kong side as Lee Man confirmed top spot in the group after defeating Chinese Taipei's Tainan City FC in Saturday's later match.

The win took Lee Man to six points and confirmed their knockout stage spot irrespective of their result against Athletic 220 FC of Mongolia on Tuesday, having already defeated fellow Hong Kong side Eastern Long Lions on Matchday One.
