Kota Baru: Mandjou Keita scored both goals as AFC Cup 2013 contenders Kelantan got their Malaysia Super League title defence back on track on Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Terengganu.
Kelantan had been without a win in their last five Super League matches but halted that alarming run of results in the East Coast Derby with the Guinean striker grabbing a goal in each half to propel last season's Malaysian treble winners to only their second victory in seven games.
Former Perak forward Keita, who recently returned to Malaysia football after a spell in India with Pune FC, opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before the 33-year-old two-time Golden Boot winner sealed the win with his second in the 64th minute.
Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak will be hoping his out-of-sorts side can build on this positive result in their forthcoming MSL matches against Pahang, PKNS and Perak ahead of their AFC Cup 2013 Group G opener against Maziya of the Maldives on March 6.
