Kuala Lumpur: The first leg of the AFC Cup semi-final between Al Qadsia of Kuwait and Al Faisaly of Jordan has been rescheduled from October 1 to October 2.
AFC has taken this decision to promote and maximise the broadcasting coverage of both the AFC Cup semi-final matches being played by Kuwaiti clubs.
There are two Kuwaiti sides Al Qadsia and Kuwait SC playing in the semi-finals alongside India’s East Bengal and Al Faisaly. Both the Kuwaiti sides, who avoided each other in the semis, were supposed to play on the same time at home earlier but with the new decision, defending champions Kuwait SC will meet East Bengal on Tuesday and the Al Qadsia-Al Faisaly game will be played on Wednesday at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Kuwait City.
