Tishreen's Jabban, Nejmeh's Jaraya apologise for premature end to campaign

Muharraq: Tishreen SC head coach Tarek Jabban and his Nejmeh counterpart Tarek Jaraya both apologised after their teams crashed out of the AFC Cup™ 2022 on Tuesday.

Syria's Tishreen won the final Group C tie 3-1 but it was not enough as they - along with Lebanon's Nejmeh - crashed out of the competition with Bahrain's East Riffa topping Group C to advance to the West Zonal Semi-finals.

Ferrando rallies ATK Mohun Bagan for knockout stage challenge

Kolkata: Juan Ferrando has urged ATK Mohun Bagan to be at their best for the AFC Cup™ 2022 Inter-Zone Semi-finals after the Indian Super League side advanced to the knockout stage in emphatic fashion on Tuesday.

Ferrando's charges were in spectacular form before their fans at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, scoring a 5-2 win over Maziya Sports & Recreation of the Maldives.

The victory completed an amazing comeback for ATK Mohun Bagan, who were defeated 4-2 by fellow Indian side Gokulam Kerala FC before bouncing back with a 4-0 win over Bangladesh champions Bashundhara Kings.

Bruzon, Annese hail players despite exit disappointment

Kolkata: Bashundhara Kings head coach Oscar Bruzon and his Gokulam Kerala counterpart Vincenzo Alberto Annese both paid tribute to their players as their AFC Cup™ 2022 campaigns came to an end on Tuesday.

Bangladesh champions Bashundhara edged India's Gokulam Kerala 2-1 in their final Group D tie but missed out on a place in the Inter-Zone Semi-finals following ATK Mohun Bagan's 5-2 win against Maziya Sports & Recreation.

The result meant the Indian Super League side won the group by virtue-of their superior head-to-head record.

Kazma win Kuwait Emir Cup for eighth time

Kuwait City: Kazma came from behind to score two second-half goals to defeat Al Salmiya 2-1 to lift the 2021-22 Kuwait Emir Cup title at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Tuesday.

Kazma, who won the coveted trophy for the eighth time, were second best in the early minutes of the match as Al Salmiya created numerous chances.

Kuala Lumpur: The qualifying cast for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Bahrain 2023™ Qualifiers was finalised on Tuesday.

A total of 44 participating Member Associations (MAs) were divided into 10 centralised qualifying groups, six of which will feature four teams, while four groups will include five sides when the Qualifiers take place from October 1 to 9, 2022.
