Wuhan: Head coach Kim Eun-sook and forward Tereza Engesha were delighted after Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women’s FC began their AFC Women's Champions League™ 2024/25 campaign with a 3-0 win against Sabah FA on Thursday.

A storming first half saw Engesha scoring twice with Jang Chang adding the other, effectively killing the tie as a contest as Red Angels joined UAE's Abu Dhabi Country Club as the early pacesetters in the group.

Wuhan: Head coach Sara Hassanien said her Abu Dhabi Country Club side had to be patient before eventually finding success against Wuhan Jiangda Women’s FC in their AFC Women's Champions League™ 2024/25 Group A opener on Thursday.

Hassanien saw her charges overcome adversity after falling behind to a fourth minute goal from Kabange Mupopo, turning the game around with two goals in the space of four minutes.

Wuhan: Tereza Engesha netted twice as Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women's FC kicked off their AFC Women's Champions League™ 2024/25 Group A campaign with a 3-0 win over Malaysia's Sabah FA on Thursday.

The victory gives the side from Korea Republic the early lead in the standings, ahead of UAE's Abu Dhabi Country Club who defeated Wuhan Jiangda Women's FC of China PR 2-1 in the earlier match.
