Yongin: Nippon TV Beleza and Jiangsu Suning shared the AFC Women’s Club Championship’s first ever points, playing out a 1-1 draw in the opening match of the FIFA/AFC Pilot Tournament at Yongin Citizens Sports Park on Tuesday.
Jiangsu’s impressive Malawian striker Tabitha Chawinga wrote her name into the history books with the tournament’s first goal in the seventh minute, but Beleza were level just three minutes later thanks to Mjna Tanaka before a second half arm-wrestle.
The result keeps both sides in title contention with two further matches to play in the competition.

Kuala Lumpur: With four of Asia’s top clubs soon to lock horns at the inaugural AFC Women’s Club Championship in Korea Republic, the competition is set to feature stars of the women’s game from Asia and beyond.
A total of 24 players from this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in France are on the books of the four participating clubs, who supplied national team stars for six different sides in the global showpiece.

Incheon: Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels have secured another WK League Championship, claiming the title after defeating Suwon UDC 1-0 on aggregate in the 2019 final, completed on Monday.
Brazilian forward Thais Guedes scored the decisive goal 71 minutes into the second leg, steering Incheon to glory from close range after the first leg had finished goalless last Thursday.
Incheon’s title is their seventh league crown in succession, continuing a stunning run of success which began in 2013, with the club also finishing on top of the table at the end of the regular season in all seven of their championship-winning years.
