Shaikh Salman extends condolences on the passing of Dr. Nozomu Ohata

Kuala Lumpur: AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has extended his condolences to the family and loved ones of former AFC Medical Committee Chairperson Professor Dr. Nozomu Ohata, as well as to the Japan Football Association (JFA). Dr. Ohata passed away last week at the age of 94.

A member of the AFC Medical Committee from 1979 to 2022, Dr. Ohata served as the Committee's Chairperson for nearly twenty years, and also lent his expertise to the FIFA Sports Medicine Committee.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) further strengthened its commitment to upholding the highest standards of good governance with the appointment of the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and members of the AFC Reform Taskforce for the 2023 to 2027 term.

AFC Vice President Mr. Hachem Haider has been appointed as the Chairperson of the AFC Reform Taskforce with ASEAN Football Federation President Maj. Gen. Khiev Sameth taking up the position of Deputy Chairperson.
