Development priorities highlighted at AFC Youth Panel meeting

Kuala Lumpur: The importance of robust youth development foundations was brought to the fore on Thursday afternoon at the 4th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Youth Panel Meeting for the term 2024/25.

Over a fruitful one and a half hours, 12 experts from across Asia came together in an online session organised by the AFC Technical Division to exchange ideas as well as receive the latest updates from the world of elite youth development.

KFU’s AFC Elite Youth Scheme one-star membership renewed

Kuala Lumpur: The robust systems of excellence implemented by The Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU) to develop its future stars has been recognised with the renewal of its one-star membership under the AFC Elite Youth Scheme.

Granted one-star membership in April 2020, the AFC youth panel assessors were particularly pleased with the significant progress made by the KFU in strengthening its elite youth football structures in recent times, with the strong sense of partnership with the AFC and FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme highlighted amongst the key areas of success.
