Sharjah defeat Al Wahda to clinch UAE President’s Cup

Abu Dhabi: A second half goal was enough for Sharjah FC to edge Al Wahda FSCC 1-0 and win the 2021-2022 UAE President’s Cup at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on Friday.

Sharjah, in claiming their ninth UAE President’s Cup, ended a 19-year wait to lift the title again – having also beaten Al Wahda on penalties in the 2002-2003 final.
