Riyadh: Leaders Al Hilal SFC stayed firmly in control after cruising 3-1 past Al Ahli Saudi, while Al Nassr continued their bid to reach the summit after sealing an impressive win over Al Fayha in the Saudi Pro League 2023/24.

Al Hilal moved four points clear over second placed Al Nassr, who leapfrogged Al Taawoun, following the conclusion of Matchday Ten.

A 1-1 draw with their closest challengers Shandong Taishan in the penultimate round on Sunday helped Shanghai Port secure their first league title in China PR since 2018, but the relegation battle between Nantong Zhiyun and Dalian Pro will go into the final day with only two points separating them.

Asian Qualifiers Round 2: MD2 Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: There is still all to play for in the AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament - Asian Qualifiers Round 2 following the conclusion of Matchday Two on Sunday. 

Australia left themselves well placed to advance to the third round after an 8-0 win over Phillipines gave them a three-point lead at the top of Group A.  China PR pulled themselves back in the running in Group B after a 3-0 defeat of Thailand, with their cause aided by DPR Korea and Korea Republic playing to a goalless stalemate.
 
Japan are the favourites to advance from Group C, with their 2-0 win over Uzbekistan taking them to six points. 
 
The group winners and the best-ranked runners-up will advance to Round 3 – to be played in February 2024 – and will battle in two pairs of home and away matches, with the victors of each tie filling the two berths on offer for the Asian Football Confederation at the 2024 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.
