West Asia Wrap: Al Sadd, Al Duhail stay ahead; Al Ittihad held; Sharjah bounce back

Dubai: Al Sadd SC and Al Duhail SC continued their impressive runs with emphatic victories in the Qatar Stars League over the past week while Saudi Pro League leaders Al Ittihad were held to a draw by Al Taawoun.

Al Ain dropped points for the first time in the UAE Pro League while Sharjah closed in on the league leaders after bouncing back from last week's defeat at Shabab Al Ahli.

Over in Jordan, the title race has gone down to the wire with Al Ramtha in the lead followed by Al Wehdat who are a point adrift.
