Women’s international wrap: Korea Republic too strong for Vietnam, Uzbekistan beaten by US

Kuala Lumpur: Korea Republic enjoyed an impressive 3-0 win over Vietnam, while Uzbekistan’s Aziza Norboeva scored a historic goal in an otherwise heavy defeat to world champions the United States as the international window continued on Saturday.

AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 runners-up Korea Republic, continued their strong form, securing a commanding 3-0 win over fellow FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers Vietnam on Saturday. 

The friendly match produced the same result as the meeting between the sides in Pune in January, as Colin Bell’s side proved too strong for their Southeast Asian opponents.
