Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Director Mr. Vinayak P. Pradhan who passed away on Sunday, 8th March 2020.
In a legal career spanning more than 45 years, Mr. Pradhan, who was the deputy chairman of the adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee, built a reputable career as a wide-ranging litigation and arbitration lawyer.
In 2016, Mr. Pradhan became the first recipient of the ‘Arbitrator of the Year Award’ by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Malaysia Branch).
He led a distinguished career with a host of illustrious appointments both domestically and internationally, including Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Arbitrator of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and Ad Hoc judge for the 17th Asian Games.
Mr. Pradhan will be remembered for his services and valuable contributions to Asian and Malaysian football.
The thoughts and prayers of the AFC and the rest of the Asian football family are with the family and friends of Mr. Pradhan during this difficult time.
