Jeddah: AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa met with His Royal Highness Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin AbdulAziz, General President of Youth Welfare in Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of his visit to the West Asian nation, during which he witnessed the opening of King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Sports City and the King’s Cup final.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) President Ahmed Eid Al Harbi, Shaikh Salman extended his congratulations to Prince Nawaf on the new sports facility, which would further boost sports development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Shaikh Salman then reviewed the plans and programmes of the AFC aimed to develop football in Asia and affirmed the keenness of the confederation to provide all means of support to national football associations in the continent.
The AFC President hailed the development of Saudi Arabian football, stressing the importance of the continued communication and coordination between the AFC and SAFF, besides promoting bilateral cooperation between the two parties, which would be beneficial for the national federation.
