Chonburi: The Group B race to the semi-finals of the 2019 AFF U-15 Championship remains wide open after all the frontrunners settled for draws on Saturday.
Malaysia, after their stunning 3-0 win over Australia two days ago, were expected to secure their semi-final slot but were held 1-1 by Laos while hosts Thailand came from behind to hold Australia 1-1 as well.
In the group's third match of the day, Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam also settled for a 1-1 draw.
Thailand play Malaysia on Monday and with both on 10 points after four matches, a draw will take them through to the semi-finals. Australia, on seven points, will have to defeat Brunei Darussalam by a huge score and hope either Malaysia or Thailand lose.
Indonesia, Timor-Leste on course for semis, Vietnam lurk
Chonburi: Timor-Leste and Indonesia edged closer to the 2019 AFF Under-15 Championship semi-finals after recording wins over Singapore and the Philippines respectively at the Institute of Physical Education on Friday.
Vietnam, however, remained within striking distance after defeating Myanmar to set up an exciting final group stage matchday on Sunday.
Chonburi: An early goal paved the way for Malaysia to defeat Australia 3-0 to stay top of Group B of the 2019 AFF U-15 Championship at the Institute of Physical Education in Chonburi, Thailand on Thursday.
It was the Malaysians third straight win and took them closer to the semi-finals with hosts Thailand keeping pace as they recorded an emphatic 4-0 win over Cambodia to also reach nine points.
Laos, meanwhile, defeated Brunei Darussalam 3-0 to record their first win of the competition.

Australia and Thailand were also winners in the other Group B games on Sunday, defeating Cambodia and Laos respectively.
