Bangkok: Buriram United FC clinched the Thai League 1 crown for the second consecutive season after beating Police Tero 2-0 at the i-mobile Stadium on Saturday.
Diogo opened the scoring in the 10th minute to give Buriram, who made the 2018 AFC Champions League Round of 16, a 1-0 lead at halftime and added his second in the 74th minute.
The victory over Police was enough for the Thunder Castles to claim their seventh league title with three games to spare as they moved 12 points clear at the top of the table.
Second-placed Bangkok United can mathematically finish level on points but they will lose out by their inferior head-to-head record.
