Beijing: Chinese Taipei succumbed 8-0 to Korea Republic who punched their ticket to the finals of the AFC U-14 Championship 2014 after their Group G qualifying match at National Football Training Base on Friday.
Striker Cheon Seong-hoon scored a triple while Kim Young-jun and substitute Kang Hyun-woo scored a brace each with Choe Eun-so contributing one to Korea's tally.
The Koreans had won all their four games in the qualifying campaign – 3-0 against China, 8-0 against Guam and 13-0 over Northern Mariana Islands.
Kuroda Kazuo’s Chinese Taipei finished third in the group having won two of their games.
The Jeon Kyeong-joon-led Koreans have now joined the ranks of Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Iraq, DPR Korea and Iraq in the tournament proper.
Forty-six nations are in the qualification and are divided into four zones of two groups each (total eight groups) with the top two teams from each zone (total eight teams) qualifying for the finals.
