Kuala Lumpur: EAFF East Asian Cup winners DPR Korea rose two places to be ranked sixth in the world when the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking was released on Friday.
The Koreans retained the regional title last month to help their global climb and remain the second best team in Asia behind FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 finalists Japan who are fourth overall.
Australia – ranked third in Asia – are ninth in the global ranking, while China dropped two places to be 15th in the world and fourth in Asia.
