Shenzen: AFC Asian Cup hopefuls China continued their recent run of fine form with a resounding 4-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan on Saturday.
The win saw Alain Perrin's charges stretch their unbeaten streak to seven matches since June’s surprise 3-1 loss to Mali at home.
Guangzhou Evergrande captain and 2013 AFC Player of the Year Zheng Zhi opened the scoring on 20 minutes before Wu Lei doubled his side’s advantage before half-time.
Yang Xu then grabbed a second half brace with goals in the 54th and 79th minutes to continue China's strong run ahead of January’s Asian Cup extravaganza in Australia.
China are next scheduled to play Palestine on December 21 and Oman on January 5, before opening their Asian Cup campaign with a Group B fixture against Saudi Arabia on January 10 in Brisbane.
