New York: Greece defeated Bolivia 2-1 during their last friendly match on Friday before they take on Asia’s representatives Japan in the FIFA World Cup 2014.
The Greeks opened the scoring as Panagiotis Kone scored on 21 minutes before Kostas Katsouranis doubled the lead on 54 minutes at the Red Bull Arena.
Bolovia however took it one down as Rudy Cardozo scored after 70 minutes.
Greece got back on their winning ways with the match after four straight winless matches since November last year. Earlier, they were enjoying a seven-match winning streak.
Greece are in Group C of the World Cup along with Japan, Colombia and Côte d'Ivoire and will take on the reigning Asian champions on June 19.
