Mokpo City: Participants of a recent football coaching course in Mokpo City may well follow in the footsteps of Korea Republic’s Olympic bronze medal winning coach Hong Myung-bo if they work hard and put to practice the lessons they have learned from the course.
Twenty-four coaches took part in the fourth AFC/KFA ‘B’ Football Coaching Certificate Course which was held at the Mokpo International Football Centre and instructed by Kim Nam-pyo and Kim Byung-hwan.
Both instructors made a serious effort to help the participants understand and experience a range of theories and practical trainings by segmenting the lessons by sections.
Some of the lessons were rescheduled to avoid severe hot weather to ensure the high quality of education in the theory sessions as well as the training sessions.
Some of the participants have expressed thanks for the opportunity to attend the excellently delivered course at the Mokpo centre which they said was well known for its excellent facilities.
At the end of the course, they expressed their hopes of someday treading in the path of national head coaches such as Hong Myung-bo, who was preparing the team for London 2012 and then went on to make history by leading them to the bronze, the nation’s first ever Olympic football medal.
