Iraq leave it late to defeat Kuwait in friendly 

Basra: Srečko Katanec's Iraq came from behind to defeat Kuwait 2-1 with late goals from Mohammed Dawood and Aymen Hussein in a friendly at the Basra International Stadium on Wednesday.

Kuwait were playing their first match in Iraq since their last visit on 15 October 1989 when the Lions of Mesopotamia prevailed 1-0 at Al Shaab International Stadium thanks to a goal from Natiq Hashim.

Japan's Shinji Kagawa moves to Greek side PAOK

Thessaloniki: Former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa has signed for PAOK Thessaloniki in an 18-month deal, the Greek Super League club announced on Wednesday.

PAOK did not reveal any financial details of the deal for the 31-year-old, who has played almost 100 times for Japan since making his international debut as a teenager in 2008, scoring 31 goals.

Kagawa moves to Greece after his contract was rescinded at former club Real Zaragoza in October last year.

Park Joo-ho leaves Ulsan Hyundai

Former Korea Republic international defender Park Joo-ho has left Ulsan Hyundai FC, the 2020 AFC Champions League winners announced on Wednesday, with the defender signing for newly promoted Suwon FC.

Park, who played eight times as Ulsan won the Asian title last year for the second time in their history, spent three seasons with the club after joining them from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund at the start of 2018.

The 34-year-old was also a member of the Korea Republic side that reached the final of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, where they lost in extra-time to tournament hosts Australia.
