Kuala Lumpur: Johor Darul Ta’zim secured an impressive fourth consecutive Malaysia Super League title on Saturday despite losing 2-1 to Selangor.
Following Naxto Insa’s first half opener for Johor, goals after the break from Selangor’s Amri Yahyah and Andik Vermansyah had appeared to have put a dent in JDT’s title aspirations.
However, the subsequent defeat of nearest rivals Kedah at Pahang duly confirmed yet another top-flight crown for the 2015 AFC Cup winners and the first for head coach Ulisses Morais who replaced previous incumbent Benjamin Mora in June.
