Doha: Jordan clinched their second win in the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship 2013 for West Asia as they thrashed the UAE 10-0 at the Al Arabi Stadium on Tuesday.
Leen Yasin Mohammad Al-Btoush again proved to be the prolific striker for Manar Mustafa Ahmad Fraij’s side as she scored five of the goals, up from three goals that she had contributed in their 5-0 win over Bahrain during opening day on Monday.
Midfielder Nour Mahmoud Rajab Zoqash boosted the Jordanians’ scoring with three goals, while captain Luna Mazin Yasar Sahloul and Jeeda Laith Ibrahim Lanaber scored one apiece in the match against the Noura Abdulla Saif-led UAE.
Jordan now sit at the top of the table while Palestine, who earlier on the day defeated Qatar 5-0, are on second spot on goal difference.
The third matchday on Wednesday will witness the UAE locking horns with hosts Qatar who will also be the opponents for Jordan the next day in the five-team inaugural regional girls competition.
