Mashhad: Pakistan thrashed Kyrgyzstan 8-0 in the second round of the AFC U-14 Championship 2014 Group D qualifiers at Samen Al Aemeh Stadium in Iran on Friday.
Midfielder Majeed Khan scored three goals while substitute Salman Khan scored a double including a penalty kick with Mohammad Shahid Ali and Saif Ali scoring one apiece. Kyrgyzstan substitute Dzhakybaliev Maksat scored an own goal.
Pakistan who have won two games are sitting on top of the five-team group above second-positioned Iran on goal difference while Kyrgyzstan sit in fourth position.
Up next, the Pakistanis led by head coach Muhammad Hassan will face India on Sunday while Kyrgyzstan are up against Iran.
Forty-six nations are in the qualification and are divided into four zones of two groups each (total eight groups) with the top two teams from each zone (total eight teams) qualifying for the finals.
