Beirut: The Lebanon FA has announced the opposition of two friendly matches before their home and away AFC Asian Cup 2015 qualifying matches against Kuwait.
The Cedars will take on Syria in Beirut on September 6 and travel to Doha to face 2011 AFC Asian Cup hosts Qatar three days later before Giuseppe Giannini’s side will then entertain Oman on October 8 as part of their tune up for hosting Group B rivals Kuwait at Beirut Sports City on Matchday 3 of the Australia 2015 qualifiers one week later.
Lebanon renew acquaintances with Kuwait in the continental qualifying campaign on November 15 and their preparations for their second meeting with Al Azraq will include a friendly with Bahrain in Mamama on November 9.
Lebanon are currently third in the Group B standings after they bounced back from a 5-0 hammering at the hands of three-time AFC Asian Cup winners Iran on Matchday 1 with a 5-2 triumph over Thailand.
