Tokyo: More grassroots cooperation is scheduled to take place between China and Japan towards the end of the year following a recently concluded month-long visit by instructors from the Chinese Football Association.
The two instructors visited Tokyo, Osaka and Mie where they observed the ‘JFA Soccer Kids’ and ‘JFA KIRIN Ladies / Girls Football Festival’ events, as well as training sessions and tournaments held by a variety of clubs.
During the visit, they also studied Japan's various grassroots football activities for young children and elementary school students, and observed several activities provided by Japanese clubs for junior and senior high school students.
The visit was brought about thanks to a long-term exchange programme sponsored by the Japan Foundation.
Chinese instructors have also benefitted from other programmes, such as the JFA Women's International Coaching Course 2014 and a tour to study Japanese women's football in September, both of which were also supported by the Japan Foundation.
The Chinese Football Association are planning to send more delegations to Japan in November and December, JFA’s official website www.jfa.jp. stated.
