Yangon: Young coaches in Myanmar are all set to begin their new career in coaching after they completed their basic course recently.
Twenty-three aspirant or fresh coaches finished their AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate Course early this month at the Youth Training Centre, Thuwunna, in the city of Yangon, Myanmar.
The course opening ceremony was attended by several Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) Executive Committee members, MFF General Secretary U Tin Aung and invited officials from the Myanmar National League clubs.
In his speech, Tin Aung said: “This course is a special privilege given to us by the AFC. I’d like to specifically thank the AFC Coach Education Department for the support to our endeavour to develop coaches in Myanmar.
MFF Technical Director Win Thu Moe said: “The participants were very happy for having this rare opportunity and promised to try their best and overcome the challenges which they faced during and after the course.”
The ‘C’ Certificate is the basic coaching qualification, after which, holders can go on and take up more advanced licences, namely the ‘B’ Certificate, ‘A’ Certificate, and finally the highest football coaching certificate, the Pro Diploma.
