Doha: Herve Renard has warned Saudi Arabia to be prepared for a tough test while Helio Sousa wants Bahrain to make history when the two teams face off in the 2019 Gulf Cup final.

Sunday's decider at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium will be the second meeting between the two in the 2019 Gulf Cup, with Saudi Arabia having defeated Bahrain 2-0 in their Group B encounter.

S-final: Saudi Arabia down Qatar to make final

Doha: Saudi Arabia defeated hosts Qatar 1-0 to advance to the final of the 2019 Gulf Cup at the Al Janoub Stadium on Thursday.

Abdulla Al Hamdan was the hero, scoring in the 28th minute as Saudi Arabia sealed a meeting with Bahrain in Sunday's final. Bahrain defeated Iraq 5-3 on penalties after their tie ended 2-2.

S-final: Bahrain edge Iraq in shootout to advance

Doha: Bahrain sealed their place in the final of the 2019 Gulf Cup, defeating Iraq 5-3 on penalties in a thrilling semi-final at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Thursday. 

In a match which ended 2-2 after extra-time, with all four goals scored in the first half, Bahrain proved the sharper of the two teams from the penalty spot and they can now look forward to Sunday's final against Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia defeated hosts Qatar 1-0 in the other semi-final.

Group A: Qatar beat UAE to seal semis spot, Iraq finish top

Doha: Akram Afif celebrated being named the 2019 AFC Player of the Year by scoring twice as Qatar defeated United Arab Emirates 4-2 to seal a place in the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup.

Qatar, however, finished second in Group A after Iraq drew 0-0 with Yemen to secure top spot on seven points. Qatar collected six points from their wins over Yemen and UAE, having lost 2-1 to Iraq in their opener.

Qatar will play Group B winners Saudi Arabia in the semi-finals on Thursday while Iraq will face Bahrain.

Group B: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain advance, Oman lose title

Doha: Saudi Arabia defeated defending champions Oman 3-1 to advance to the 2019 Gulf Cup semi-finals at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Monday.

Bahrain beat Kuwait 4-2 to finish as Group B runners-up and will face Iraq in the semi-finals. Bahrain advanced on goal difference after they and Oman finished on four points.

Saudi Arabia's win meant they topped Group B and will face hosts Qatar in the other semi-final.

Doha: Defending champions Oman scored twice in the first half to edge Kuwait 2-1 in Group B of the 2019 Gulf Cup at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Saturday.

Saudi Arabia bounced back from their opening defeat against Kuwait to defeat Bahrain 2-0 as the race for Group B's semi-final spots will be decided on Monday.

Doha: Kuwait enjoyed a bright start to their 2019 Gulf Cup campaign with a 3-1 victory against Saudi Arabia at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Wednesday.

Defending champions Oman were held to a goalless draw by Bahrain in the other Group B match with both teams failing to put away their chances.
