Chonburi: Korea Republic head coach Hur Jung-jae is confident his side can nullify DPR Korea’s goal scoring threat when the two teams meet in the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 semi-finals at the Chonburi Stadium on Wednesday.
Hur’s charges head into the match after finishing as runners-up to Japan in Group B, while their East Asian counterparts, on the back of three successive victories, sealed top spot in Group A after an impressive free-scoring group stage campaign.
With a place in the competition’s title showdown – as well as a spot at next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup – there for the taking, Hur is adamant that Korea Republic will be more than prepared to counteract DPR Korea’s prowess in the final third.

Chonburi: DPR Korea underlined their dominance in Group A at the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 on Saturday as they beat Thailand 3-1 at the Chonburi Stadium to head into the semi-finals on the back of a third successive win.
Already assured of top spot and a place in the competition’s last four, the East Asians were rarely troubled by the host nation as a superb first-half display laid the foundations for the 2007 champions to claim yet another deserved victory.
