Doha: Qatar and 2012 AFC Challenge Cup winners DPR Korea cancelled each other out in a goalless international friendly at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.
Qatar were using the match to gear up for their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan on June 18 but with the 2022 tournament hosts out of the reckoning for Brazil, Qatar coach Fahad Thani will be looking ahead to the resumption of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers in October.
Qatar are currently joint-second with Malaysia in Group D of the Australia 2015 qualifiers after two rounds of matches having defeated the ASEAN side 2-0 at home before going down 1-0 to neighbours Bahrain in Manama.
