Kuala Lumpur: AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has expressed his deepest condolences on the demise of Jordanian player Qusai Al Khawaldeh who passed away while playing for Al Faisaly against Al Jazirah in Jordanian U-20 League.
Qusai, 19, represented Al Faisaly’s senior side against Hong Kong’s Kitchee in the second leg of their AFC Cup quarter-final this year at home which the hosts won 2-1.
In his letters to Jordan Football Association President His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein and Al Faisaly Club President Sultan Al Udwan, Shaikh Salman said he was saddened at the loss of a young footballer.
On behalf of the entire Asian football, Shaikh Salman gave his sympathy to the family and friends of Qusai and the Jordan football family.
