Kuala Lumpur: AFC Technical Director Jim Selby has called on potential members of the AFC Technical Study Group (TSG ) Panel to challenge themselves to help teams play better in the future with the knowledge gained from a course concluded in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
Speaking while closing the TSG Panel Course, part of the activity under the AFC Elite Education Seminar 2012, Selby said:
“I would like to thank you for the enthusiasm you have shown in this course. After this course, whether you choose to be on the TSG panel or not, what is for sure is that you have increased your knowledge as a coach.
“You can have a good team and a good coaching staff but if the team in not interested, the end product would not be good. They have potential but what do you do with the potential?
“So when you go home, I’d like you to prepare to challenge yourself by asking the question ‘How can I do better next time?’”
Sixteen participants form across Asia took part in the course which focused on match analysis, TSG analysis, AFC Technical Report coordinating, team management and forward planning, football specific performance analysis and more.
