India and Turkmenistan receive AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze memberships

Kuala Lumpur: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT) are the latest to join the rising trend of AFC Member Associations benefiting from the game-changing AFC Grassroots Charter after they were both awarded their Bronze memberships for their continuous efforts in strengthening the grassroots movement in their respective countries.

ALL INDIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION

The AIFF has built a comprehensive grassroots development structure that covers a wide range of areas including competitions, futsal, youth development, coach education and fair play.

With the aim of exponentially increasing the interest in football, the AIFF has organised various grassroots activities ranging from U-6 to U-12 leagues, U-13 to U-18 leagues, Women’s championships and activities, AFC Grassroots Football Day and grassroots festivals.

Toyota Grassroots Project 2020 launched in Thailand

Bangkok: More than 40 children from Thailand and Vietnam have benefitted from a fun-filled football clinic organised by the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) long-standing Commercial Partners, Toyota at the Rajamangala Stadium on Monday.

The Toyota Grassroots Project 2020 was riding on the back of the highly-successful AFC U23 Championship Thailand 2020, which saw Korea Republic clinch their first-ever title at the same venue the day before, also saw the involvement of Molten – the AFC’s Official Match Ball supplier.

Street Football League continues to grow in Tajikistan

Dushanbe: Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) completed its annual Street Football League tournament with resounding success after attracting 18,600 participants in seven regions in the country.

The tournament, themed “Football Comes To You”, was held during the weekends from July 16 to October 10, 2019 in Dushanbe, Soghd, Kulob, Bokhtar, Rasht, Badakhshan and in the districts of republican.

Kuala Lumpur: Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) and Federacao Futebol Timor-Leste (FFTL) have been awarded the AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze membership for their dedication and promise in developing grassroots football.

Afghanistan FF receives AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze Membership

Kuala Lumpur: Afghanistan Football Federation’s (AFF) dedication to the development of grassroots football in the country has earned it the AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze Membership.

The Grassroots Charter is a development tool for Member Associations (MA) to raise the quality of their grassroots programmes. It identifies 20 performance categories such as grassroots competitions, structure, long-term planning and partnerships, with PFF excelling in all criteria.

AFF is the 24th Member Association to receive the Membership, joining the likes of Australia, China PR, Malaysia, among others, from across the Continent.

The AFF has been focusing on three key areas: MA endorsed grassroots programmes, grassroots competitions and grassroots courses.

Asia’s grassroots advocates and Women Youth Coach of the Year honoured

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) honoured the advocates of grassroots football and the Woman Youth Coach of the Year for their contributions to the sport at the AFC Special Grassroots and Elite Women’s Youth Football Awards 2019, which was held in conjunction with the 2nd AFC Women’s Football Conference in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Japan’s Eiichiro Matsuki received the Best Grassroots Leader award while Paro FC from Bhutan and ISF Football Programme were conferred the Best Grassroots Club and Best Grassroots Project accolades respectively.

Meanwhile, full-time teacher Chan Shuk Chi of Hong Kong, who is an AFC-KFA Pro-Diploma license coach and current Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) U12 Girls’ team head coach, was named the Youth Coach of the Year (Female) in the award ceremony.
