Yemen arrived in Doha on Thursday from Bahrain, where they played in an Asian Qualifiers group D tie against Singapore, suffering a 2-1 defeat.

Yemen will open their Gulf Cup campaign against United Arab Emirates on November 26, before playing hosts Qatar on November 29 and Iraq on December 2.

Iraq, meanwhile, arrived from Jordan, having defeated Islamic Republic of Iran and drawn with Jordan in Group C of the Asian Qualifiers the past week.

Oman were drawn with 10-time winners Kuwait in Group B along with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Oman won their second title in January 2018 when the tournament was held in Kuwait after defeating UAE 5-4 on penalties in the final.

Qualifying action for the two premier competitions will resume on March 26 as the players - depending on where they play their club football - either return to their teams or get some much needed break.
