AFC General Secretary hails AFC Asian Cup China 2023 preparations
Kuala Lumpur: Asian Football Confederation (AFC) General Secretary Dato’ Windsor John expressed his confidence in China PR’s infrastructure and its ability to host the biggest AFC Asian Cup China 2023 during a virtual interview with Chinese media today.
The AFC General Secretary said early preparations are underway and the construction of the stadiums have shown significant progress.

Kuala Lumpur: The upcoming edition of Asia’s flagship national team competition – the AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ – will take place from June 16 to July 16, 2023, across ten cities after the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) confirmed the decision today.
The 18th edition of the tournament, which will see Asia’s top 24 national teams compete for the most coveted prize in Asian football, aims to engage more fans than ever before, and will maximise the advantage of playing the opening game on a Friday and the final on a weekend.
Best Goal of AFC Champions League 2020: Six finalists confirmed
Kuala Lumpur: Theerathon Bunmathan, Abdulrahman Al Obaid and Mehdi Abdi Qara have completed the cast for the Best Goal of AFC Champions League 2020 final following the conclusion of Semi-final 2 on Wednesday.
Yokohama F. Marinos' Theerathon topped the second semi-final with 45.75 percent of the votes with Al Nassr's Ol Obaid finishing second with 18.67 percent. Persepolis FC's Abdi Qara finished third with 17.98 percent.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today published the AFC Asian Cup 2027™ Bid Books of the four Member Associations that remain in contention to host the AFC’s flagship competition – the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI), the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).
All four Member Associations had submitted their Bid Books for the tournament within the stipulated deadline and in the interest of conducting a fair and transparent Bidding Process, the AFC is for the first time providing, for the benefit of fans, members of the media and all stakeholders of Asian football, the opportunity to access the proposals on the-AFC.com.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) today launched an exciting and dynamic range of brand-new logomarks and visual identities for its major national team tournaments - the AFC Asian Qualifiers, AFC Asian Cup, AFC Women’s Asian Cup, AFC U23 Asian Cup, and the hugely popular annual club competitions - the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup.
The new look and feel will be prominently featured across all fan focused touch-points with the AFC competitions in the coming years, from the match venues, to television broadcasts and social media channels.
