Kyrgyz Republic's Sagynbaev, Oman's Al Rushaidi ready for showdown

Doha: Bekzhan Sagynbaev is confident Kyrgyz Republic will defeat Oman when they meet in their AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Group F fixture at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Thursday.

Having featured in the 2019 edition of the AFC Asian Cup, Sagynbaev believes he can offer valuable advice to his teammates, many of whom are making their first appearance in the Continental showpiece.

Doha: Midfielder Faisal Al Ghamdi is dreaming of charting his own path, having been compared to Saudi Arabia legend Nawaf Al Temyat ahead of his side’s final AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Group F match against Thailand on Thursday.

The spot was sealed after a 3-0 win over Hong Kong, China on Tuesday meant Palestine were assured of advancing as one of the best four third-placed teams.

Uzbekistan on course to match the best, says Masharipov

Al Wakrah: Jaloliddin Masharipov is confident Uzbekistan can further establish themselves among Asia’s elite after picking up a 1-1 draw with Australia at Al Janoub Stadium on Tuesday to confirm their place in the knockout rounds of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ as Group B runners-up.
