Sousa names training squad as Bahrain kick off preparations for Qualifiers

Manama: Head coach Helio Sousa has called up 23 players as Bahrain enter their final phase of preparations for the final round of the AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ Qualifiers.

Bahrain's final phase of preparations starts with a training camp in Bangkok, Thailand on May 11-31.

Seoul: Korea Republic will host top-ranked Brazil in a friendly ahead of this year's FIFA World Cup™, the Korea Football Association said on Wednesday. 

Korea Republic, captained by Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min, will take on Brazil on June 2 in Seoul before squaring off against Chile and Paraguay on June 6 and 10.

Last two FIFA World Cup 2022™ berths to be decided at Qatar’s Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Zurich: The eagerly anticipated FIFA World Cup™ intercontinental play-offs, which will see four countries vie for the remaining two slots at football’s flagship event, will be held at Qatar’s Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium. 

On 13 June, the winners of the AFC play-off between Australia and UAE on 7 June – also played at the same venue – will face Peru, who finished fifth in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. One day later, Costa Rica, who came fourth in the Concacaf qualifiers, will play OFC champions New Zealand. Both matches will start at 21:00 local time.
